So we were called in to tint it with a one way mirror tint that is designed to reflect heat so that the solar readings go from HOT to COOL. But let me cook for sec: On one side floating at 27 Million Degrees Fahrenheit — is the sun. And fighting from the other corner, a tiny AC, one way mirror tint and Texas Tint Masters, of Houston. We started by removing the OLD window film first. Then we thoroughly cleaned the windows and began to roll out the window film with the mirror side out so that the sun is reflected outwards. This meter detects solar energy so the higher the number the hotter it is. The sun was putting out over 900 heat units BUT through the tinted glass it was down to 47 for a grand total solar energy reduction of over 90% making a perfect solution for a window tint that is ALSO designed to see outside BUT from the outside you can’t see in.
