Replying to @ceiling.my.fate Carson Walks Over Ice who fought as a green beret in Vietnam was the only Crow Nation solider to come close to achieving War Chief status after his uncle Joseph Medicine Crow became the last Crow Nation War Chief during world war 2. Carson managed to complete 3 of the 4 requirements to become a war chief while fighting in Vietnam, but was not able to steal a horse. He did however manage to steal two elephants which he believed should have counted for something but the Elders did not agree with him.
