River dolphins have been seen peeing straight into the air!Over a four-year period, researchers observed 36 instances of what they call “aerial urination”. Seen only in male dolphins, the dolphin peeing is often accompanied by another male who either follows the stream or stays where the pee meets the water. While there are no definite conclusions as to why the dolphins are doing this, they could be using hormones in the urine as a means to communicate. Or they could just be having fun!
