To open WebP files in Photoshop Elements, you'll need a plugin as it doesn't natively support the format. You can install a WebP plugin like WebPShop and then open WebP files as you would any other supported file type. Here's how to install and use a WebP plugin, specifically WebPShop: Installation: Download the plugin: Obtain the WebPShop plugin from a trusted source. https://github.com/webmproject/WebPShop?tab=readme-ov-file The plugin is less than 1MB in size. It is an 8bi file. Use whatever OS you need. Locate the Plugins folder: Find the "Plug-ins" folder within your Photoshop Elements installation directory. Install the plugin: Copy the WebPShop plugin file (usually a .8bi file) into the "Plug-ins" folder. Restart Photoshop Elements: Close and reopen Photoshop Elements for the plugin to be recognized. Opening WebP Files: 1. Navigate to the file: . In Photoshop Elements, go to "File" > "Open" and locate the WebP file you want to open. 2. Open the file: . Select the WebP file and click "Open". The plugin will handle the file and display it in Photoshop Elements. Important Notes: Make sure the plugin is compatible with your version of Photoshop Elements.

I check my Adobe account every few days. I noticed this morning that my subscription is increasing from $9.99 a month (the old photography plan) to $14.99 a month. I thought about it and paid for the entire year all at once to sace 33% on the const of annual subscription. Knocks it down to about $12.00 a month, but I still get al lthe other stuff (in particular Adobe express Premium features) too. For me it's a good deal, just disappointed I didn't even get an email about the increase.

Scan to activate product was for the retailer, not for the consumer, the end user. The receipt number? 100% quite useless. A key thing I read in the title was "reinstall"- the product should be listed in your adobe account. During the purchase process the retailer would first scan the product bar code, then scan the activation code- the consumer would then take the product home and would find a redemption code inside the package that would be entered on an Adobe website to get the serial number. I also seem to recall either the serial number being on it's own card, or on a sticker on the dvd evelope. Not sure which, it is an older product. A key thing I read in the title was "reinstall"- the product should be listed in your adobe account allready. IF YOU REGISTERED THE PRODUCT WITH ADOBE: Click on your icon on the upper right of this screen. CLICK ON MANAGE ACCOUNT. CLICK ON PLANS AND PAYMENTS. PSE is listed under the products. A download link and the serial number would be listed. PSE serial numbers ALWAYS START WITH 1057. BOTTOM LINE: You are probably out of luck.

I coulda sworn when I checked that camera model, the one with the A at the end wasn't listed- I used RX100 VII (DSC-RX100M7) in my earlier responses, I was not looking at the DSC listings, and that's on me.

When you cancel: You still have to pay 1/2 of whats left on your contract. FOR EXAMPLE: You sign up for 1 year, doesn't matter if you paid for a year all at once, or if you pay month by month- you have a 1 year contract. On month 6 you decide "I'm done"- you would still have 6 months remaining on your contract. You would still have to paye 1/2 of your contract remianing (3 months) to end you subscription. Billing cycles are based upon when you first subscribed. For me: It's on the 3rd of the month. That is when I pay my $10.85 each month. Now I could see emails about cancelling, and billing, "crossing paths"-- so many emails are 100% automated "Send out the billing emails for July 25th at 11:59pm on July 24th sort of stuff. You send in yoru request to cancel at 6pm on July 24th, and you get an automated response instantly, or pretty darn quick.

There is a good chance the customer did not update ACR correctly for PSE 2025. You install ACR then copy and paste one file. Here are the instructions to install the latest version: Download and install the latest Camera Raw version from https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-in-installer.html Quit all Adobe applications. On macOS, double-click the .dmg file to mount it. On Windows double-click the downloaded .zip file to unzip it. (Windows might unzip the file for you.) On macOS, double-click the .pkg file to start the installer. On Windows, double-click the resulting .exe file to start the installer. Follow the on-screen instructions. Once installed successfully, close the installer window. Navigate to the following folder: On macOS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-ins/CC/File Formats On Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CC\File Formats Copy the Camera Raw plug-in (just the .8bi file) from the CC > File Formats folder that is mentioned in the above step. Navigate to the following folder: On macOS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-ins/Elements<Version Number>/File Formats On Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\Elements<Version Number>\File Formats Replace the existing Camera Raw plugin in Elements<Version Number> folder with the plug-in that you copied earlier.

If you use Adobe express- Any you open work on , or save is kept there. I have abour 2.3 GB there--- keeping that stuff "on the cloud" is a life saver. In simplest terms: The cloud is a computer with a hard drive sitting in a building. You can access that stuff (Programs and files) on the hard drive from anywhere. Of course there is much more to it than "It's a computer"- but for many that is a good enough explanation. It's also applications- Like Adobe express, or Office 365, As the internet gets faster and faster, cloud computing, and hard drives in homes become "blurred" it doesn't really matter how you get you data as long at it is.

For many just do the following. Undelete them. Put them back where they were originally. I assume that you "did something" outside of organizer-- me? I delete all my desktop stuff once a month, after I make a backup copy- I just ignore the missing image stuff in organizer. Some users just move stuff around manually all willy nilly (like I do- i have "my system" which works ifne for me), forgeting that they have organizer monitoring folders.

Within the editor: click on HELP then ABOUT PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS. As depicted early the popup window indicates the date of the update- which is then made available 1 to two weeks later. Not all updates are "pushed out" to everyone at the same time- all updates are generally made available to everyone within a few days though. A new version is going to be available in two orr three months so I would suspect that any updates pushed out now would be "behind the scenes" type of stuff- it wouldn't be any new features. One exception: Newer versions of Adobe camera raw can be installed manually- but generally you don't need to worry about those unless your camera requires it. ACR available in PSE has less features that the version of ACR found in Photoshop- some users of PSE think that they will get all the bells and whistles found in ACR that is in Photoshop, and that simply is not the case. There is no where you can go to and "download the latest update"- with one exception: Redownloading the PSE program wfrom your Adobe account usually contains the latest version (I actually did that a couple of weeks ago), and it was in fact the latest version. IF YOU CHOOSE TO DO THAT: log out off the editor first, then uninstall it.

Zero reason for a script- the program already provides the names- you have multiple choices once you click on the three dots. I now realize your screenshots are probably from photoshop- just click on the gear in the upper right corner of any brush set and choose show names.

Get ready to get mad..... Adobe changed it's activation policy last year They no longer reset activations. The "Manage devices" in your account area is for the creative cloud products such as Photoshop, NOT PSE. All that online thing with "an Adobe employee" may have been a scammer, and not an adobe employee. I am always a bit hesitant when I read about users talking about remote assistance- but there are many documented cases of actual Adobe employees helping. The main technique scammers have been using is to send you an unsolicited message (Adobe employees never ever do that) thru the forum offering "help". Adobe support representatives may sometimes request remote control of a customer's computer to troubleshoot issues, but only when initiated by the customer through official channels like phone or chat support. They typically use a tool called Bomgar for this purpose. It's crucial to be aware of potential scams and only grant remote access to individuals you have verified as genuine Adobe support staff through official contact methods. Some may offer solutions about "offline activation" and offer clear instructions: I an not aware of any of those offline methods working, they might work, I'm just not aware of any of them working. BOTTOM LINE: You can forget about using PSE 2024.

"This is disappointing considering it worked in PSE22 ..." I do believe your memory of it working in pse 2022 is wrong. It does not work with 16 bit images in PSE 2022- at least in my version of PSE 2022- A version I do not have any add ons or plug-ins installed. I have multiple versions of PSE installed, all the way back from pse 2010. I tried with both pse 2022, and pse 2020- both of which produced the exact same error message ( PSE calls it a "script alert"). I then tried with pse 2025- all updates, all my video drivers, all my OS drivers are up to date. PSE 2025 produced the same "script error", meaning, it cannot merge 16 bit images.

You can forget about ever using that version, ever again. Adobe no longer does activation resets. This is the point that many users will mention "purpetual.... forever......... and I paid good money"-- If you do not have access to the old computer, and it has been installed on 2 computers, you are out of luck. Talking to a "live person" will not help either. I can't recommend purchasing a copy off of ebay, or at a yard sale: no telling how many times it has been installed. Right now PSE 2025 is full price- that means at checkout, when purchasing pse 2025 you can get it for $79.99 as a previous user. here is a link to the free 7 day trial: https://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-elements/free-trial.html

Nothing deceitful about any of it- it's use, and implementation has been well documented since day 1 (jan 17, 2024- when limits on he use of generative credits were imposed). I fail to understand the "uproar" over charging for something that is software intensive to use. I get the impression that many users feel "entitled" to use everything, every single feature, simply because they are subscribing--- and photoshop have been subscription based for abotu 12 years now. Even the cheapest subscription (which I have) only costs me $10.85 a month- and I get 250 generative credits, and Adobe express premium (I'm a long time subscriber so I was "grandfathered in" to that program. If you have so much reliance of using the generative AI tools it's probably for a business- and that is something (A everything subscription to all cloud apps)- which is something you can write off as a business expense. This page, and it's a good one, was updated a couple of weeks ago. https://helpx.adobe.com/firefly/get-set-up/learn-the-basics/generative-credits-faq.html#monthly-generative-credits
